The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Book 3)

The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Book 3)

I am in love with this book. I am in love with this trilogy. I am quite sad that it is over but I am happy with this ending that I will survive. This book has so much detail and foreshadowing in it and it answers so many questions that I had to read some parts over again just so it would all sink in. It is gave me all the feels. Happy, sad, scared, nervous. It is intense and epic and everything that a final book should have. Continue Reading

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Book 2)

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Book 2)

Well, well, well. I loved this book more than the first. It’s so damn good. So much was built up that at about ¾ way in is when shit really starts to go down hardcore. It was like an explosion! Don’t get me wrong, all the build up is great. There is so much information in this second book it had me literally on the edge of my couch reading it. Continue Reading

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

I Loved it! I can say this is one of my favourites in my top 5 right now and I have yet to read the second or third one. I just love Michelle’s writing, I love the plot, I love the characters. Everything about it is so good.

I was intrigued by Noah the entire book. He was mysterious at first and then became cocky, confident and super flirty with Mara. At first Mara did not like Noah, but as they talked more and run ins with them became more frequent. Mara found herself liking Noah. Hell, I became to like Noah. The way Michelle describes Noah throughout the book is a constant reminder that you yourself have a crush on him. I’ve had my fair share of fictional crushes but I think Noah takes first place. Anna Dressed in Blood

Anna Dressed in Blood

I think Kendare’s writing style is good. This book is in third person which I enjoyed. She is very descriptive in her writing, you get the sense of your surroundings and the people that are in the story. The main setting is in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada which is only a couple hours north of where I live. I have not read many books at all that are set near my home town, let alone in Canada so I felt like I could relate a little bit more to the story which I thought was pretty neat.

Some parts were pretty epic and scary and something that would come straight out of a horror movie so that was cool. I don’t think I have read a “scary” book before. I mean I have read vampire books and werewolf books but I don’t think I have read a ghost novel before and so I would say my first impression of ghosts is a good one. Continue Reading
