Bossman

I super enjoyed this book. I read it fairly quickly because I couldn’t put it down. It’s just one of those books that is fun, sexy, and super easy to read. I love a book with two characters that have flirty, fun, banter back and forth. It makes me feel giddy whenever I read it and this book has tons of it. Basically, the first three-quarters of this book is flirting between the two main characters. The dialog is just perfect, and the writing all together is flawless. I have never read anything by Vi Keeland, but I have a bunch of her books in my TBR because they all sound so good.

Bossman is Chase Parker. He is a young, attractive, sexy business owner with a cocky attitude. Also, he is smart, funny, successful, and he knows what he wants and how to get it. Chase wants Reese, and has since he first spotted her in the restaurant while she was on the phone with her friend trying to get her date cut short. He played it off as that was a bitch move but secretly he has never been more turned on by her. So, he pretends to know her and crashes her date to make things more interesting for her. They end up seeing each other a few more times before she actually becomes an employee of his without him knowing.

Reese is a young, driven girl who loves marketing. She made a bad decision at her lost job and had to leave and then was hired at Parker Industries not knowing that Chase was the owner. The man she couldn’t stop thinking about for the last month is now going to be her boss. She needs to do the right thing and keep her distance. She doesn’t want to make the same mistake as last time and make it seem like she got this job for another reason. But the chemistry between the two of them makes it hard for her to stay away. Reese is funny, smart and can definitely hold her own. She knows how to control Chase’s feelings and her own. But, only for so long.

For being a book that is light, funny and sexy. There is a deeper emotion that comes across while reading it. Both characters (mostly Chase) have had something happen to them that inhibits them from going forward with any sort of real relationship. Those situations really bring a new feel to the book, and really gives you a new perspective on Chase. The book is set in both characters while Reese is present time, Chase’s is previous about seven years. You see him in a whole new light and he really comes around by the end of the book. I love when an author does this because you get the whole story and not a half asses book with only one characters point of view to go on. I feel all emotions while reading this and that just makes me love the book even more.

This book is definitely a New Adult novel. It has many mature scenes that are not intended for younger readers. But, I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something fun and exciting.

From New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy newstandalone novel.

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression.

I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.

He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.

So I told him to mind his own damn business―his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business―and went back to my miserable date.

When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.

I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.

But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us―telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.

My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.

When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I'd never see him again.

I mean, what were the chances I'd run into him again in a city with eight million people? Then again...

What were the chances a month later he'd wind up being my new sexy boss?
