Finding Cinderella (Hopeless 2.5)

Before the book even starts there is a snippet from Colleen Hoover telling her story. I find it to be so inspiring as she tells how she came from very little to something much more with just a dream that she pursued. She pretty much tells you that you can do anything you put your mind too, and that makes me love Colleen more than just a great writer but a great person as well.

Before even reading this, I love that this novella is about Daniel. I said in my Losing Hope review that I really liked Daniel’s character. He is funny and has a great personality. He is also a good friend to Holder and was there for him and stuck up for him when he needed it the most. Upon further reading, he is still a great friend, funny and I liked him even more because he is also a great guy to Six. We also get to learn a lot more about Six in this novella. In Hopeless she was mentioned here and there because she was in Italy. Now that she is back we get to know her a little bit more. She turns out to be a great character as well. She is spunky, sarcastic and has a great sense of humor.

I don’t have a whole lot to say because I don’t want to give anything away but I can say that this is my favourite novella I’ve read. It is so heartwarming and a great finish to the Hopeless Series. Once again, Colleen have proved that she is an amazing writer and I can’t wait to read more of her books. If you haven’t read any yet then what are you waiting for? Get on the wagon and fast!

A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love has conditions: they agree it will last only one hour, and it will only be make-believe.

When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them seemed perfect only because they were pretending it was. Moments like that happen only in fairy tales.

One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in love-at-first-sight is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Unfortunately for Daniel, finding true love doesn’t guarantee a happily ever after… it only further threatens it.

Will an unbearable secret from the past jeopardize Daniel and Six’s only chance at saving each other?
