Maybe Someday

Another well-written book by Colleen Hoover. I can’t get enough of her books. That leaves 2 more that I have to read by her. This I borrowed from my library because I have heard so many good things about it and I was there visiting my mother. Especially after reading Number 9, I needed to continue my Hoover fix.

This book had me with the characters. I really don’t want to give out too much because that spoils the fun but the characters are so well written with such great qualities. The two main characters, Sydney and Ridge are neighbours who come together under different circumstances. They end up writing music together and falling for each other. Things get in their way which hindered the relationship they could and want to have. How they get through it is what makes this book so amazing.

There is a soundtrack that goes with this book. Because Sydney and Ridge write music together, you get to see the songs come together. Then when you get to listen to the actual songs being played while reading the finished lyrics, make it feel so much more personal. It feels like I was apart of the song making and these are a part of my lyrics coming to life. The songs are so fitting for each setting in the book that when you listen to them in a row from the order they should go in, it tells a story within itself. It’s quite magical, really.

Once again, I am in love with another Colleen Hoover book. I have yet to read a book of hers that I do not like. She just has a way with her words and her characters. I highly recommend this book, especially if you are near a computer or even your phone so you can listen to the soundtrack that goes with it.

At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life; She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her – and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.

Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbour, Ridge. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Someday will immerse readers in Sydney’s tumultuous world from the very first page.
