You know when you have things to do or it’s time to go to sleep but you say “just one more chapter”? Yeah, well, this is exactly what happened to me and this book. I spend all night reading chapter after chapter, hoping that there would be some sort of break in between where I could easily put it down. Nope, not with this book. After every chapter I needed to know what was going to happen next. Before I knew, it was five in the morning and my child gets up at seven.
I have come to love MC books. I never thought I would be a fan before, and now I have no idea what I was thinking. Every MC book I’ve read so far has sexy, tattooed, bad-ass alpha males, and I love that. This book was no different. This might actually be my favourite MC book I’ve read so far. It has everything in it to make a great story. Badass alphas, head-strong females, intense scenes of violence, sex and forbidden love. I know it’s a good book when I happened to be spoiled for something big, and I was still able to be surprised and shocked for the things that I knew about.
I don’t want to go too much into who the characters are and what goes on in this book. I’d like for you to go in blind just like I did. The synopsis is kind of vague on what it’s about, and there’s actually so much that happens in this story. Just know that Creed Jameson, who is our main alpha, is the son of the president of the MC called Devil’s Reject’s. He quickly becomes a Vice President. That means more responsibility and more jobs to do. Creed is ruthless, hard and will kill you if he needs too. He’s cocky, intense and sexy as hell. He’s had a shit life and he’s just trying to make the best out of it.
Mia Ryder is our leading female. She’s a spunky, out-spoken surfer girl who’s had an easy life. Sheltered from over-protective parents, but she has a big, loving family. She’s much younger than Creed, but that doesn’t stop her from knowing who she loves. From the moment she met him at nine, she has loved him. As she grew older, her love only intensified. Not that there was much time for her to fall in love with Creed, and even when he was pushing her away, telling her he’s no good for her, she still loved him. Their story is a forbidden love that runs much deeper than the years apart in age they are.
Road to Nowhere is fantastically written. A slow, and steady pace, there’s a lot that was put into this book. I was never bored, and I never got confused from too much information, or been out-of-place with what was going on. All the characters have their own strong, independent personalities. Great dialog throughout, and is loaded with intense, epic scenes. It does end off on a major cliffhanger, but no need to fear, because the second book, Ends Here, is available April 4th 2017.
This book is not intended for young readers. There are drugs, violence, and sexual content throughout this entire book.
