Shatter Me Series

WOW! This series was just WOW. I read all 3 books plus the 2 novellas within 12 days. For me that is awesome.

I love the writing style. I love how words are crossed out and that it’s in first person in Juliette’s perspective. Her mind isn’t all there from being locked up for so many days by herself that she repeats things 3 times and she thinks about things so fast it makes you feel like you are going a bit crazy yourself, a bit crazy yourself, a bit crazy yourself. There were a few times where I had to take a break and had to blow out my breath that I had been holding in. So many emotions run through Juliette’s mind at one time and these books are super descriptive with a lot of great dialog.

I love each and everyone of the characters in this book. They are all written so well. From the main characters to the small side characters. They are all described so well that you remember each one of them and their personalities throughout the books. I even loved to hate the bad guys. Yes, there is a love triangle but it is such a good love triangle you want her to be with both of the guys.

Book one is Shatter Me and a lot of information is thrown at you. It is all about character details and world build up. I feel that even though these are dystopian novels they are written so well that they feel they could be real.

Destroy Me is a novella that takes place right after book one in Warner’s perspective. Once you read book two, the first novella makes total sense and you see things totally different(in a good way).

Book two is Unravel Me. It has what I personally think has a huge plot twist that left me like WTF?!?! But it was placed so well and described in perfect detail it makes total sense in the end. The love triangle is pretty big in book two but it keeps you on your toes.

Fracture Me is another novella is Adam’s perspective. It also takes place right after book two and also makes you see things in a totally different way but is done so well it really makes you think.

Ignite Me is book three and the final book in the series. It’s where all the action takes place. The battle action and the action action. (*wink wink*). So much happens that it’s the perfect conclusion to the series. My favourite book out of all of them. So much is answered and concluded that I finished and put the book down with an “Ahh, that was good” and a smile on my face.

I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I'm more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon
I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
